New Year 2011

Churning out a page of resolutions in the new year has become a ritual for me since the very first time I started blogging~

I was amazed by how much i have grown matured over the years. The way I joined in the countdown celebration clearly define what I meant. Seeing teenagers yesterday covered in sweat and emitting the weird rubbery smell, reminded me the moment celebrating new year with the mockery, at the age of 16 to 18 in town. Spraying chemicals at people and screaming like a banshee at people, those were the really crazy things we did.

Gradually, we have toned down, and chose to recide at friends' house and count down with the loves one. We went to sim's house for our new year count down again this year! Unlike last year where we got potluck session and crazy Wii session, this year got to sit around the dinning table playing card games.

I enjoyed the simple catch up session with friends, well, perhaps, next time, we can bring wine ( not hard liquor please), sit down together and reflect on what we had done in the year 2010!

Wasted holiday!

Reading up journal? Preparing for my next tons of essay assignment? And reading up for next semster modules? Feel so sorry for myself, i never get the chance to do these things. Instead of doing something useful, I spent most of time having fun and recharge my energy for the coming semester.

I spent a fruitful 30 minutes in the library yesterday night, reading up an enrichment book titled, success in college. I was in shock when I realized I never fulfill 90 percent professor's requirments for my essay assginments. suck big time! Guess I really failed my semster 1...

Add on to the stress, last Monday and Tuesday, I was involved in a project looking after 25 children from a nearyby childcare center. They gave me a wake up call on how naughty today kids are. When you scold them, they either pretend never hear your instructions or just question you back.
A clear example:

"Zip your mouth and listen to me now!"
" It's my mouth, why you need to care?"

FAINT!

The worst thing is, I am going to incharge of adolescent in the future, if i couldn't handle the kids, I seriously doubt my capabaility on the older one.

The greatest barrier i faced now is my English proficiency. My most concern is my spoken English. Friends and family told me is because of the lack of chances to speak English, oh well, the only things i can do now, is help myself. When people speak chinese to me, i will speak English back to them. I know it is rude, but it is for my future survival.

The greatest joy in my term break is the Johor trip with family and friends. As I didn't quite enjoy the shopping experience during the first day Johor trip, I asked Justin for another second consequtive trip to Johor. I spent 100 Singdollars within seconds and the shopping experience taught me an important lesson: Johor things are not really cheap!

Oh well, It is time for me to start doing the reflection for the project, and swtiched back to my own laptop watching serial drama!

HAppy new year eve people!

And i really do not wish to spend my bonous yet until I have seen the result

Justin was right, " don't aim to just pass, cause you will fail" Aim for the A~ which i need to buck up during this holiday! Readings or journals and revise for my English~ Hope next semster can start with a breeze~

First wave celebration ~

Besides not watching soccer, I am totally clueless on lan gaming too! Counter strike? Dota? I don’t play those! The games I am more attracted to must have good story line and cute characters, like maplestory! That’s so nineteen years old, way before army days haha! Thinking back now, maplestory is super disgusting hahhaa!

Met up with my NIE friends for our Post-exam fever celebration! All guys team for the world. All of us have worked hard for the exams and I’m pretty sure all of us can make it through this first semester!

TAG Sun Wei, Daniel, Edison, Keng hwee and Jia wen!

Just now was my first time played life or dead , cant remembered the game name exactly. Zero Kill and 100% death during the 4 hours gaming session. Feel super bad for my team members!

Well at least I had some kicks with the zombies than the BOBO shoot by the survivors. I at least managed to wrap my long slimy tongue around Edison’s Neck, sat on keng hwee’s shoulder like the ghost in the Shutter movie, and body slam people.

The main event for the day is our long awaiting Japanese buffet at Kunshindo or Kunshinoya! Cant remember again! Mens talk all the way and the laughings had spoilt our appetite. It is seriously fun. The nectarious Hokkaido Crabs really make the 54 dollars buffet worth it wahhaa! =D Thanks Daniel for the recommendations!

Hope you guys enjoy the night too~ and yes there will be more waves coming in!!! But don’t forget to catch up your reading for the next semester!

Adieu.

How is life in school?

I would like to take this opportunity apologise for not updating my blog entry for past two months! Sorry diary! =) And also to friends who asked me how is life in 'school', and displeased about my mundane reply back.
"oh i am fine!"

Here is the truth!

Life have been pretty scary for me in school! Mum and dad thought I have turn hardworking and I could only gladly accept their praises. The truth is, this semester is super packed one big kind! While other students from other universities have a week of semster break, mine all clumped together. And because of the rush schedule, assignments are packed together.

What kind of assignments? Essays writing! One simple phrase: total killer.

The 2nd killer i am going through now is exam! What make me stress out is the "Money I owed" haha!

I have make new friends in school! OG mates! And my bio clique, bunch of funny guys! haha! Everybody are academic oriented, and, naturally, they spur me to put in more effort. One big curdle : My English!

Toodles~

Hectic Life!

I need to write more, else I couldn't churn out 9 pages essay. For real! For the past few weeks, I;ve been waking up early, at around 7 am and slept at 2am , for seven days straight! Too much assignments for me to handle and at the same time catching up with my friends.

I have come to a realization, some time you have to live for yourself! You cant tried to meet our friend's demand! And sleep is a really important thing! Because of lack of sleep, i have not been paying attention during the lecture, and this add on to burden to me and my study load.

I am also not motivated and energized to start the essay! I have learnt my lesson, and that is, never compromise your sleep! I promised i wont sleep later than 10 during weekday, especially the coming mugging season!

A simple encouragement is what i need! =)

Mathematics of growth!

HYPOTONIC AND HYPERTONIC! Keep forgetting!

If a microorganism is placed in a hypotonic solution ( one with a lower osomotic concentration), water will enter the cell and cause it to burst!

If a microrganism is placed in a hypertonic solution ( one with higher osmotic concentration), water will flow out the cell. (plasmolysis)

Many microogranism, wheather in hypotonic or hypertonic environments, keep the osomotic concentration of their cytoplasm somewhat above that of the habitat so that the plasma memebrne is always pressed firmly against the cell wall.

Extreme halophiles have adapted so completely to hypertonic, saline conditions, that they require high levels of sodium chloride to grow.

How mountain and volcano form?

Famous mountain like mount Everest in the Himalayas, is form with by continental- continental convergence.

Do you know that Japan, Phillipine and Hawaii are Volcano island?
They are form intially through oceanic-oceanic convergence. The volano started buliding up in the ocean and gradually, the drived lava emerge from the ocean and become a island.
They are also form in oceanic-continental covergence, through the subduction of the oceanic crust, follow by the rise of the magma to the continental crust and form mountain.

Japan also has the highest earthquake, poor Japan =( This is because it is situated at the center of the boundaries of different plate ( Eurasian, philipine, pacific plates), with them pushing against each other.

My first time writing on academic essay

Regret never joined the talks on academic essay in RP years ago!

You need to quote people sources and make your statement strong. And trust me, it is this research and referencing part that can kill you!

Oh well, I had submitted the essay yesterday, but it's is not late for me to churn out 3 more better quality essay.
